TECHNOLOGY

DATA introduced the S-Series seed counters and seed counting machines to bring vision based bulk seed counting to the industry. This replaces inefficient weight or volume methods that cause 3 to 5 percent overfill, and it replaces old multichannel technologies that are slower by a factor and rely on perfect separation.

With DATA’s proprietary 360° ICI image processing, our seed counters count each seed in real time as seeds free fall vertically through the detection unit at a uniform rate. The system delivers 100 percent counting accuracy in the same timeframe as weighing or volumetric methods.throughput scales up to 360,000 seeds per minute (system-level maximum, configuration and seed type dependent) while maintaining 99.8-100 % accuracy.
