The Small Parts Counter U-162B specifically designed to be used as a filler on top of automated bagging machines and is ideal for counting repeating batches from the same product type.

Embedded with the ICI vision bulk counting technology, the U-162B parts counter can count an unparalleled variety of small parts sized 5mm-25mm without the need for tooling when changing objects.

Complex shaped objects, including open-shaped items, can be easily counted, making the U-162B small parts counting machine an ideal system for the Aerospace, Defense, Medical, Electronic, Hardware, and other industries. 

The unique ability to count multiple objects in parallel results in counting speeds of up to 200 objects per second, delivering outputs as weight-based machines while maintaining higher accuracy levels compared to traditional counters.

By incorporating an advanced mathematical algorithm and 360 degrees detecting view, this hi-tech vision-based counter can count complex objects with 99.8% accuracy. Ring-shaped objects, open-shapes objects, and even objects as small as 1mm can be easily detected and counted.

Industry 4.0 compatibility:

DATA’s counting systems support TCP/IP communication protocol, which increases automation and allows self-monitoring and process improvements. Counting data can be easily retrieved and transmitted to the primary control system for further analysis, stock levels can be automatically updated, and packed orders can be traced. The system includes user-authorization levels and a log file to provide full operational transparency. Technical support can be provided remotely.

Automatic object setup:

Each object requires a one-time setup which is done automatically by a dedicated deep learning software from the house of DATA. During the setup process, the machine sets vibration frequency to insure ideal object feeding, calculates object stopping criteria, and determines object size. The parameters are then saved and ready to be used in future counts.

Economical production solution:

DATA’s ability to handle a variety of objects without mechanical adjustments delivers an economical production solution. Parts changeover can be controlled in a matter of seconds by a simple operation of choosing the object recipe (no tolling or further calibration is required), thus reducing machine downtime. The counting machine is equipped with a storage flap that accumulates the objects until reaching the required quantity, separating the counting cycle and the bagging cycle. As a result, each period is independent and not affected by the other, leading to a simultaneous operation and increased output. If an overfill occurs, the amount will be rejected to a side container, thus saving the parts for further use without bag waist.
